One of my favorite restaurants is located in Ormond Beach, Rose Villa Restaurant Southern Bar & Table. It’s been a staple in the Ormond Beach community since the 1800’s.
There are many things I cherish about this restaurant. First the people. Owners Pat & Chef Sylvia have made every dining experience I have had there just that, an experience. An exceptional, memorable experience.
Chef Sylvia is 1 of the very best Chefs in our area and she speaks my food language. I love all things creamy and saucy and that is her specialty. You can taste the love for what she does in every single bite you take.
I love so many of the appetizers on the menu it’s hard to get past them. From the fried green tomatoes topped with lobster, to the deviled eggs topped with pork belly, or let’s just bring it home with the mac & cheese, it’s creamy, cheesy, and delicious!
I often pick whatever Chef’s special is because I just trust her, everything has been incredible that comes out of her kitchen!
We also indulge in their delicious fried chicken from time to time, my absolute favorite fried chicken around!
The Rose also happens to be the home of my favorite local cocktail, the blueberry lemontini! The perfect amount of tartness and an ice sphere made of blueberry and lemon rinds. This is a perfect summer drink, so light and refreshing.
Be sure to check out the Whiskey at the Rose which is their speakeasy on the 2nd floor. An extensive, carefully selected whiskey collection like none other. They have seating outside on the front porch and also out back in their beautiful gazebo where you can take in the tranquility sounds of the fountain in the courtyard.
Originally built as a bed & breakfast, this charming restaurant has so much character and history. It’s a landmark driving down Granada Blvd. Right now for the 2nd year in a row they have the home decorated for the holiday season as a Gingerbread House light display, you can participate in their Gingerbread Fantasy a great experience for the family.
